KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (NNN-Bernama) — New COVID-19 cases in Malaysia hit another record high of 17,405 cases today, said Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
In a Twitter post, he said this brought the cumulative positive cases to 1,061,476 since the pandemic broke out in the country early last year.
The previous high of 17,045 new cases was recorded on Juy 25.
Selangor again topped the list in the last 24 hours with 7,171 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (2,880), Kedah (1,112), Sabah (913) and Negeri Sembilan (863).
Johor had 767 cases, Penang (760), Kelantan (532), Melaka (531), Terengganu (490), Sarawak (464), Pahang (429), Perak (406), Putrajaya (68), Labuan (16) and Perlis (three).
