TEHRAN, Jul 24 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran reported yesterday, 21,814 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s total infections to 3,645,654.
The pandemic so far claimed 88,273 lives, up by 210 in the past 24 hours, the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education said in a briefing, published on the ministry’s official website.
A total of 3,220,445 people have recovered from the disease, or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 4,696 remain in intensive care units, the ministry said.
By yesterday, 7,446,510 people have received at least a dose of COVID-19 vaccine, in the country, while 2,353,976 have taken two doses.
Earlier in the day, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, received the second dose of a domestically-produced coronavirus vaccine.
