Singapore Reports 181 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, Jul 22 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 181 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total tally in the country to 63,621.

The new infections included 179 locally transmitted cases, of which 130 were linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster, and eight belonged to the KTV cluster.

Of the new local cases, 80 were linked to previous cases and have already been placed under quarantine, while 69 were linked to previous cases and were detected through surveillance.

There were two imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore. Both developed the illness during SHN or isolation.

As of Jul 20, Singapore had administered a total of 6,837,539 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, under the national vaccination programme, covering 4,165,024 individuals.– NNN-CNA
