RAMALLAH, Palestine, March 9 (NNN-WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas, condemned on Friday, the botched assassination attempt earlier, of senior Fatah official, Ahmad Helles, during a live-fire shooting, in the centre of the Gaza Strip.
He described the attempt as a cowardly crime, which constitutes a real danger to the unity of the Palestinian people and its national liberation project, as well as, to civil peace in the Palestinian community.
Earlier, unknown assailants opened a barrage of gunfire, at Helles’s car in Zawaydeh area, in the central Gaza Strip, causing partial damage to the car, but no one was injured, as the bullets seemingly hit the bonnet of the car.– NNN-WAFA
