Iran Reports 16,596 New COVID-19 Cases, 3,344,122 In Total

TEHRAN, Jul 10 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran reported yesterday, 16,596 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s total number of infections to 3,344,122.

The pandemic has so far claimed 85,543 lives in Iran, up by 146 in the past 24 hours, the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education said in a briefing, published on the ministry’s official website.

A total of 2,995,195 people have recovered, or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 3,506 remain in intensive care units, the ministry said.

The report added that, 24,358,872 tests have so far been carried out across the country.

By yesterday, 4,529,845 people have received the vaccines in the country, while 2,128,850 have taken two doses.– NNN-IRNA
