Iranian President Says U.S. Gov’t Still Follows Trump’s Legacy Against Iran

TEHRAN, Jul 1 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, said yesterday that, the U.S. government still follows anti-Iran economic pressure policy, adopted by former President, Donald Trump.

Iran “has been facing an economic terrorism since three years ago. What Trump did against Iran was more a war than sanctions,” Rouhani said, in a cabinet meeting, adding, Trump’s successor “continues committing his crimes.”

In May, 2018, Trump withdrew from the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and unilaterally reimposed sanctions on Iran. In response, Iran gradually stopped implementing parts of its commitments to the agreement, from May, 2019.– NNN-IRNA
