DHAKA, Jun 27 (NNN-BSS) – Bangladesh reported 4,334 new COVID-19 cases and 77 more deaths yesterday, making the tally at 883,138, and death toll at 14,053, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The official data showed that, 19,262 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, as of 8:00 a.m. local time yesterday, across Bangladesh.
The total number of recovered patients in the country stood at 800,854, including 3,295 new recoveries yesterday, said the DGHS.
According to the official data, the COVID-19 fatality rate in Bangladesh is now 1.59 percent and the current recovery rate is 90.68 percent.
Bangladesh recorded the highest daily new cases of 7,626 on Apr 7, and the highest number of deaths of 112 on Apr 19.– NNN-BSS
