JERUSALEM, Jun 26 (NNN-PNN) – The number of active coronavirus cases in Israel rose from 803 to 984 yesterday, the State’s Ministry of Health said.
This is the highest number of active cases in Israel since May 8.
The ministry also reported 194 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the tally in the country to 840,638.
The death toll from the virus in Israel remained unchanged at 6,429, while the number of patients in serious condition stayed at 27.
The total recoveries in Israel rose to 833,225, after 13 newly recovered cases were added.
The number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Israel reached nearly 5.54 million, or 59.4 percent of its total population.
Earlier yesterday, the ministry reimposed the obligation to wear face masks indoors.
The obligatory wearing of face masks indoors in Israel, was lifted on Jun 15, but since then, hundreds of new COVID-19 cases have been detected in the regime.– NNN-PNN
