BAGHDAD, Jun 24 (NNN-NINA) – Baghdad University held, yesterday, its first exhibition for scientific products, with the aim of introducing the university’s contributions to the Iraqi economy.
“Today, we opened this scientific exhibition, at the University of Baghdad, which includes many patents and scientific products in various agricultural, medical, and engineering fields, which will be greatly supportive of the national economy,” said Munir al-Saadi, rector of the university.
“We have also developed different types of high-yielding grain that farmers have tested,” he added.
University of Baghdad is one of the largest universities in the Middle East, and the largest in Iraq, according to head of the media office of the University, Adel al-Ghurairi.
“The University of Baghdad has more than 24 colleges, and more than 420 degrees, in science and liberal arts, with many researchers whose scientific efforts should be utilised, to support the national economy,” al-Ghurairi said.– NNN-NINA
