KUWAIT CITY, Jun 23 (NNN-KUNA) – Kuwait registered yesterday, 1,962 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total infections in the country to 342,929, the Kuwaiti Health Ministry, said.
The ministry also announced 11 more fatalities, taking the death toll in Kuwait to 1,888, while the tally of recoveries rose by 1,604 to 322,897.
A total of 18,144 COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment, including 238 in the intensive care units, it said.
Kuwaiti Minister of Health, Bassel Al-Sabah, said on Monday that, Kuwait is witnessing a noticeable instability over the last period, because of growing numbers of coronavirus cases and deaths.
He stressed the importance of vaccination, saying, it would lead to the herd immunity in the country.– NNN-KUNA
