HANOI, Jun 23 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnam reported 244 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, including 230 locally transmitted and 14 imported, raising the total tally to 13,727, according to the country’s Ministry of Health.
Among the community cases, 136 were detected in the southern Ho Chi Minh City, 33 in the southern Binh Duong province, and 31 in the northern Bac Giang province.
Most of them are contacts of previously confirmed cases, or linked to the clusters of infections in the localities.
Nationwide, as many as 5,546 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered, up 93 from Monday.
As of yesterday, Vietnam has registered a total of 12,010 domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases, including 10,440 detected, since the start of the latest outbreak in late Apr, according to the health ministry.– NNN-VNA
