SINGAPORE, Jun 22 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 16 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total tally to 62,430.
Among the new cases, 13 are in the community and three are imported.
Also yesterday, 28 more recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries from the pandemic to 62,070, in the country.
There are currently 134 active cases being treated in hospitals. Of them, none is in critical condition and held in the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, 191 cases are being isolated and cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well, but still test positive for COVID-19.
MOH said, a 44-year-old male Singapore permanent resident, with a history of diabetes mellitus, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection, on June 20, taking the country’s death toll to 35.– NNN-CNA
