SINGAPORE, Jun 21 (NNN-CNA) – Eleven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Singapore yesterday, bringing the total tally to 62,414, according to the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Nine new cases were reported in the community. Of them, three cases were found to be linked to previous cases and have already been placed under quarantine, while the other six were detected through surveillance, with one of them detected to be linked to a previous case and five currently unlinked.
The remaining two were imported ones, who had been placed under the stay-home notice (SHN), upon arrival in Singapore.
Also yesterday, 19 more recovered patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries from the pandemic to 62,042, in the country.
There are currently 142 active cases being treated in hospitals. Of them, one is in critical condition and held in the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, 196 cases are being isolated and cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well, but still test positive for COVID-19.
The country’s COVID-19 related deaths stand at 34, the official said.– NNN-CNA
