Myanmar Imposes Stay-At-Home Order In Letpadan, Amid Rise Of COVID-19 Infections

YANGON, Jun 19 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar’s Ministry of Health and Sports, imposed a stay-at-home order in Letpadan township, Bago region, state-run media reported yesterday.

The stay-at-home order will be in effect starting today, as the township has recently seen a rise in COVID-19 test positivity rate.

According to the ministry’s release yesterday, Myanmar reported 301 new COVID-19 infections, with one more death in the past 24 hours.

The COVID-19 cases rose to 147,069, while its death toll was recorded at 3,251 yesterday, the release said.

A total of 133,452 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.– NNN-MNA
