YANGON, Jun 17 (NNN-MNA) – Myanmar reported 355 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the tally to 146,406 yesterday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.
The death toll rose to 3,250, after two new COVID-19 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, the release said.
Yesterday, 112 more patients have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the number of recoveries to 133,216, so far.
Three COVID-19 variants, Alpha, Delta and Kappa, were detected with 11 cases in Myanmar early this month, the ministry’s recent release said.
COVID-19 was first detected in the country on Mar 23, last year.– NNN-MNA
