YANGON, Jun 12 (NNN-MNA) – The COVID-19 death toll rose to 3,239 in Myanmar, after two new deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry yesterday.
The release said that, 188 new COVID-19 infections were reported after 2,781 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally to 145,064, so far.
The number of recoveries increased to 132,765 yesterday.
COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on Mar 23, last year.– NNN-MNA
