YANGON, Jun 8 (NNN-MNA) – The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has risen to 144,456 yesterday, after 139 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
Two new deaths were reported yesterday, bringing the death toll to 3,227, the release said.
According to the ministry’s figures, a total of 132,525 patients have been discharged from hospitals, and over 2.63 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, including 2,216 samples tested yesterday.
Myanmar detected its first two positive cases of COVID-19 on Mar 23 last year.– NNN-MNA
