One Killed, Three Injured As Blast Hits Health Workers Vehicle Outside Afghan Capital

KABUL, May 5 (NNN-AGENCIES) – One person was killed and three others injured, as a bomb struck a mini-bus, carrying health workers in Kalakan, outside Kabul today, Kabul police spokesman, Ferdaus Faramarz, said.

“The gruesome incident took place at 6:40 a.m. local time, in Kalakan, on the road linking Kabul to the northern provinces,” Faramarz said.

Without providing more details, the official said that, investigation had been initiated into the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

This is the second bomb attack on a vehicle over the past two days.

The first blast, which targeted a police van in southern Uruzgan province yesterday, killed one police constable and injured a civilian, according to local officials.– NNN-AGENCIES
