WELLINGTON, Apr 18 (NNN-AGENCIES) – New Zealand reported four new cases and one historical case of COVID-19 at the border in two days, the Ministry of Health said in a statement today.
While there was no new case of COVID-19 in the wider community, four new positive cases and one historical case of COVID-19 were reported in managed isolation, since the ministry’s last media statement on Friday.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases of COVID-19, detected at the New Zealand border was three, the ministry statement said.
The total number of active cases in New Zealand today is 102, and the total number of confirmed cases reached 2,239, said the ministry.
The total number of tests processed by New Zealand laboratories to date reached 1,972,640, it said.
As quarantine free travel between New Zealand and Australia begins from tonight, the ministry reminded people to continue contact tracing by downloading and scanning with the NZ COVID Tracer app.– NNN-AGENCIES
