ISLAMABAD, Apr 16 (NNN-APP) – The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said yesterday that, it is important that the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan coincides with progress in the peace process.
Pakistan believes there is no military solution to the conflict, spokesman of the foreign ministry, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, said, while responding to media queries about the U.S. decision to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan before Sept 11, this year.
He said, a negotiated political solution, through an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned process, is important for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The spokesman said, Pakistan will continue to work together with the international community, in efforts to promote the Afghan peace process.– NNN-APP
