BANGKOK, Apr 14 (NNN-TNA) – Five people were killed in a blaze, aboard a double-decker bus, in north-eastern Thailand, early yesterday, police said.
Two of the five victims were children, who were seated on the top deck, when the bus caught fire, on Mittraphap Road, in Ban Haet district of Khon Kaen province, said provincial police commander, Phutthiphong Musikul.
Twelve others, including the bus driver, were injured in the blaze, which was believed to have occurred, immediately after a rear tire burst, Phutthiphong said.
The bus, with 34 people on board was heading to Bangkok from Udon Thani province, when the accident occurred.
There was no immediate cause given for the accident.– NNN-TNA
