ISLAMABAD, Apr 7 (NNN-APP) – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, arrived here yesterday, for a two-day visit to Pakistan, on bilateral and regional matters.
Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, welcomed Lavrov on his arrival, according to the state television of Pakistan.
The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said on Monday that, Lavrov will call on Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, and have delegation-level talks with Qureshi.
The foreign ministry said, during the talks, the entire gamut of Pakistan-Russia relations will be reviewed, and ways will be discussed to further broaden and deepen bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.
Earlier yesterday, Qureshi said, in a special video message, ahead of the arrival of Lavrov that, Pakistan-Russia relations are heading to a new direction with the prospects of enhanced trade and investment opportunities.– NNN-APP
