Brunei Reports One New Confirmed COVID-19 Case, 214 Cases In Total

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Apr 4 (NNN-BBNEWS) – Brunei reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the national tally to 214.

According to Brunei’s Ministry of Health, Case 214 is a 23-year-old woman, who arrived in the country from Jakarta, on Mar 21, 2021. The contact tracing has found no close contacts for this case, as she was quarantined upon arrival in the country.

This new case is being treated and monitored at the National Isolation Centre, with the other 13 active cases, who are all in a stable condition.

With the detection of this case, a total of 73 imported cases have been confirmed, since the last local infection case on May 6, 2020. Brunei has recorded 332 days without local COVID-19 infection cases.

Brunei also reported two more recoveries from COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 197.

There have been three deaths reported from COVID-19, so far, in Brunei.– NNN-BBNEWS
