BEIRUT, Apr 3 (NNN-NNA) – Lebanese caretaker Health Minister, Hamad Hassan, signed yesterday, a health cooperation agreement with his Iraqi counterpart, Hassan al-Tamimi.
Hassan said, the two sides agreed to cooperate in areas, such as, medical tourism, hospital management, as well as, training programmes for health workers.
Lebanon will send medical staff to Iraqi hospitals, to share their experience with their Iraqi peers.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi health minister praised solidarity between the two countries, adding, the two sides will communicate daily, to better implement the agreement.
Upon Tamimi’s arrival on Wednesday, the Iraqi side donated a batch of medical equipment, including ventilators, to the Lebanese, to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.– NNN-NNA
