BANGKOK, Mar 8 (NNN-TNA) – Thailand’s ruling Palang Pracharath Party, won yesterday’s by-election for a member of parliament (MP), in a southern constituency, defeating its coalition partner the Democrat Party.
According to preliminary results of the by-election, in Constituency 3 of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, the Palang Pracharath Party won the by-election with 35,230 votes for its candidate, compared to 31,935 votes for the candidate from the Democrat Party.
With the victory, the Palang Pracharath Party has now four MPs, while the Democrat Party also has four MPs, representing Nakhon Si Thammarat. The southern province has a total of eight constituencies, each of which is represented by an MP in parliament.– NNN-TNA
