AMMAN, Mar 7 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan yesterday reported 3,481 new COVID-19 cases and 38 more deaths, increasing the tally of confirmed cases in the country to 421,415 including 4,900 deaths, the government announced.
According to a joint statement, issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health, the number of new deaths recorded yesterday was the highest in two months.
The statement added that, there are currently 53,750 active COVID-19 cases in Jordan. It said, 3,917 recoveries were registered in hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total number of recoveries to 362,765.
A total of 25,952 tests were conducted yesterday, bringing the total number of tests administered in the country, since the outbreak of the pandemic to 4,822,160.– NNN-PETRA
