SINGAPORE, Feb 21 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the country’s total tally to 59,858.
All the new cases were imported cases and there has been no community case for six consecutive days.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community decreased from eight cases in the week before to one case in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from five cases in the week before to one case in the past week, said MOH.
Also yesterday, 22 more patients were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 59,719 patients have fully recovered from the pandemic in the country, the ministry said.
There are currently 20 active cases being treated in hospitals, with the condition of most of them being stable or improving. One of them is in critical condition and being treated in the intensive care unit.
A total of 90 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well, but still test positive for COVID-19. A total of 29 people have died from complications due to the COVID-19 infection.– NNN-CNA
