New Zealand Reports Two New Cases Of COVID-19

WELLINGTON, Feb 20 (NNN-AGENCIES) – New Zealand reported two new cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation, said the Ministry of Health in a statement today.

The two new cases of COVID-19 reported were recent returnees, tested positive upon arrival, with no new case in the wider community, nor any, linked to the Auckland Feb cluster, said the ministry.

The total number of active cases in New Zealand is 51, and the COVID-19 tally reached 1,994, according to the statement.

The general public is urged to keep up contact tracing and good hygiene practices by officials, after a three-day Alert Level Three lockdown for the entire Auckland region, following the positive cases of three family members in South Auckland community.

New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland, is at COVID-19 Alert Level Two and the rest of the country, at COVID-19 Alert Level One.– NNN-AGENCIES
