Singapore Reports 14 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, Feb 20 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH), reported 14 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the country’s total tally to 59,846.

All the new cases were imported cases.

Also yesterday, 18 more patients were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 59,697 patients have fully recovered from the pandemic in the country, the ministry said.

There are currently 20 active cases being treated in hospitals, with the condition of most of them being stable or improving. One of them is in critical condition and being treated in the intensive care unit.

MOH also announced, about 250,000 individuals received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of Feb 18, among whom, more than 110,000 received their second dose and completed the full vaccination regimen.

The ministry added that, Singapore will start COVID-19 vaccination for seniors island-wide, from Feb 22. By mid-March, when the city-state opens a vaccination centre in each town, all senior citizens will be able to receive their vaccination.– NNN-CNA
