NEW DELHI, Feb 13 (NNN-PTI) – The number of dead bodies retrieved from a glacier burst in northern India rose to 38 yesterday, but only 11 of them could be identified, as yet.
Even now, as many as 166 people, mostly labourers and workers, employed at two hydro-power projects, are still missing.
The disaster occurred in the country’s northern hilly state of Uttarakhand on Sunday.
Rescue work by several teams of disaster management authorities is being carried out, uninterruptedly, at the site of the natural disaster.– NNN-PTI
