NEW DELHI, Jan 30 (NNN-PTI) – At least 10 persons died and eight others injured, when two vehicles collided, in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh today (Saturday), confirmed a local cop, over the phone.
The road mishap occurred in the state’s Moradabad town, around 110 miles from Delhi, on the Moradabad-Agra highway. The collision took place between a truck and a mini bus.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital, while efforts were being made to reach out to the families of the deceased, to hand over their dead bodies.
The accident seems to have occurred due to low visibility, amid dense fog in the area, said the cop.
Meanwhile, state’s Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, announced monetary compensation to the families of the deceased, and those injured.– NNN-PTI
