JERUSALEM, Jan 27 (NNN-MA’AN) – Israel’s military said, its troops shot and killed a Palestinian man, during an alleged stabbing attack in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
The incident took place at the Gitai Avisar Junction, south of Nablus city.
An Israeli military spokesperson said, the suspect arrived at the junction and attempted to stab a female soldier and her commander. The female soldier blocked his attempt, while the commander shot him.
No Israeli soldier was reported injured.
Over the past years, lone Palestinian attackers, usually not affiliated with any militant organisation, have carried out a string of alleged stabbing, shooting, and car-ramming attacks, against Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank.– NNN-MA’AN
