DAMASCUS, Jan 20 (NNN-SANA) – A fuel tanker exploded yesterday, in Syria’s central province of Homs, causing a massive fire.
The fuel tanker exploded near the Syrian Gas Company, and firefighters are dealing with the blaze.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known.
The explosion comes, as the Syrian energy sector is struggling, under the pressure of the cold weather in winter, and economic sanctions.
Syrians have been suffering from a shortage of fuel and electricity.– NNN-SANA
