Myanmar’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 128,178, Death Toll Stands At 2,785

YANGON, Jan 7 (NNN-MNA) – The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar increased to 128,178, as of yesterday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.

A total of 596 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country yesterday.

The death toll from the virus reached 2,785, with 19 new deaths reported yesterday in the country, the release said.

According to the ministry’s figures, a total of 111,401 patients have been discharged from the hospitals, and over 1.92 million samples have been tested for COVID-19, so far.

Myanmar reported its first two positive cases of COVID-19, on Mar 23, last year.– NNN-MNA
