KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 4 (Bernama) — As the year 2020 drew to a close, IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG) organised a Waste Minimisation Campaign 2020 throughout October to December 2020, to encourage a sustainable lifestyle among its staff and public by actively minimising waste in their daily routine and in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 – Sustainable Consumption and Production, SDG 13 – Climate Action and SDG 14 – Life Below Water.
The campaign was held in conjunction with environmental commemorative days such as the World Clean Up Day, International Coastal Clean Up Day, National Environment Day and the National Recycling Day in the spirit of sustainability and to encourage responsible consumption and production among staff and the public via virtual platforms particularly in view of the current pandemic.
