NEW DELHI, Jan 4 (NNN-PTI) – At least eight people died and more than 40 others injured, when the bus they were travelling in had an accident, in India’s southern state of Kerala, yesterday, a local policeman confirmed to the media.
According to media reports, there were about 70 people in the bus, when the accident occurred.
A total of 44 persons were injured, most of whom were undergoing treatment, at the Kanhangad district hospital.
The ill-fated bus was carrying a wedding party from the neighbouring state of Karnataka.
It crashed into a house, after its driver lost control of the vehicle, said the media reports.– NNN-PTI
