Pakistani Soldier Killed In Unprovoked Firing By India In Disputed Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (NNN-APP) – Pakistani army said early today that, a soldier was killed, in Indian firing in Kashmir, amid escalations along the Line of Control (LoC), in the disputed region.

The military said, Indian troops “committed unprovoked ceasefire violation” yesterday, in the Satwal sector, along the LoC.

“Pakistan army responded to the Indian firing, causing substantial damage to Indian troops in men and material,” the statement, from the army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations, said.

During the exchange of fire, a 22-year-old soldier was killed, the statement added.

Tensions between the two neighbours escalated recently and casualties were made on both sides in recent cross-LoC firing. Indian diplomats have also been summoned by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, to lodge strong protests over the Indian violations of ceasefire agreement.– NNN-APP
