JERUSALEM, Dec 15 (NNN-MA’AN) – The death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 3,003 in Israel, with 13 newly reported deaths since Sunday evening, the state’s Ministry of Health said yesterday.
The total number of cases reached 358,293, with 2,043 new cases, while the number of patients in serious condition rose from 347 to 383, out of 668 hospitalised patients.
The number of recoveries rose to 337,599, with 1,779 new ones, while active cases stand at 17,691.
On Sunday night, the Israeli health and transport ministries announced that, customs gates would stop asking questions to passengers arriving from “green” countries, with low morbidity, to avoid long queues and gatherings at the airport.
The Israeli government also said that no more than four planes can dock at one airbridge at the same time, with a maximum of two planes arriving from “red” high morbidity countries.– NNN-MA’AN
