Palestinian Protesters Clash With Israeli Soldiers On Expansion Of Jewish Settlements

RAMALLAH, Dec 12 (NNN-WAFA) – Israeli forces on Thursday, repressed a protest by Palestinians against the expansion of settlements for Jewish settlers in Salfit city, in the centre of the West Bank.

Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets and stun grenades at the demonstrators, to scatter the mobilisation, and as a result over thirty people were injured.

Protesters rejected the Zionist government’s plans to confiscate land in the Salfit area, with the purpose of extending Jewish settlements, considered illegal by the United Nations, the Arab League, other blocs of countries, politicians and activists of different nationalities.

Leaders of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and human rights defenders, warned that Israel is in a race against time, to impose faits accomplis on the West Bank, despite the COVID-19 impact and taking advantage of the fact that the international community remains focused on fighting against the pandemic.

Likewise, Tel Aviv aims at speeding up its usurper projects, before the outgoing US President, Donald Trump, leaves the White House as planned in Jan.– NNN-WAFA
