TRIPOLI, Dec 11 (NNN-Xinhua) — Libya’s UN-backed Prime Minister Fayez Serraj on Thursday met with British Ambassador to Libya Nicholas Hopton here on strengthening cooperation and support for Libya’s peace path.
The meeting addressed multiple issues, “particularly the contribution of British companies and institutions in fields of health, education, human development investment, and programs of skills development,” the UN-backed government’s information office said in a statement.
The British ambassador “expressed his country’s support for the peace path in Libya,” the statement said.
The two officials agreed that the success of this path requires “ending negative foreign interference in the Libyan affairs.”
