Jordan’s COVID-19 Infections Exceed 250,000

AMMAN, Dec 10 (NNN-PETRA) – The tally of COVID-19 cases in Jordan surpassed 250,000 yesterday, after 3,088 new infections were registered.

The total cases in Jordan rose to 250,219, while the death toll from the virus climbed by 44 to 3,206, the Jordanian Health Ministry said in a statement.

Jordan also reported 5,000 new recovered cases from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total number of recoveries to 202,058.

King Abdullah II yesterday inaugurated a military field hospital, assigned to treat COVID-19 patients in Irbid.

The Irbid’s field hospital has a 300-bed capacity, including 48 intensive care unit beds.– NNN-PETRA
