KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (NNN-Bernama) — Lazada Malaysia will be hosting the first free virtual tour of Zoo Negara on LazLive, the Lazada in-app, from 10.30am – 11.30am on Dec 11, the eve of the online shopping platform’s 12.12 Grand Year End Sale.

“During the LazLive virtual tour, doctor-turned-comedian, Dr Jason Leong, will be visiting and showcasing feeding sessions with Samba the lion, Vani the white tiger, Flash the cheetah, Choki the Sumatran orangutan, Sibol the elephant and more,” a statement today said.

Lazada Malaysia said viewers will be able to donate money in real time at each location Leong visits, and that the first 50 donors of RM25 at each stop will receive RM25 Lazada Wallet 12.12 rebates to shop and enjoy Buy 1, Get 2 savings and discounts on Lazada 12.12.

The RM25 rebate will be offered via Lazada Malaysia’s digital giving platform, LazadaForGood.

Five lucky LazadaForGood donors will also win virtual a hang-out with Malaysia’s most beloved celebrities through Lazada’s 12.12 Make-Your-Wish Facebook contest.

The winners will be able to do a fun one-on-one virtual activity like a TikTok duet with Ain Edruce, enjoy a private concert with Ayda Jebat, a personal performance by Ismail Izzani, an all-expenses-paid dinner date with Sean Lee and freshly-baked goods curated by Joey Leong.

Those who donate more than RM50 will receive an ‘Adopt an Animal’ e-certificate and voucher from Zoo Negara, the statement said.

Lazada Malaysia said participants will need to follow just three simple steps: share a screenshot of the donation along with the order number in the comment section of the Make-Your-Wish contest post on Lazada Malaysia’s Facebook; choose their virtual meet-and-greet celebrity; then stay tuned for the winner announcement during the 12.12 Chief Discount Officer Show on Dec 11 from 9pm – 11 pm on LazLive.

“It has been a hard past few months for most Malaysians. Hence, for Lazada 12.12 this year, we hope to give back to the local community by subsidising these LazadaForGood rewards in support of our non-profit organisation partners who have been working tirelessly to help those in need and to assist our brave heroes on the frontlines,” said Lazada Malaysia chief executive officer, Leo Chow.
