New Interior Minister sworn in Peru

LIMA, Dec 8 (NNN-ANDINA) — The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti Hochhausler on Monday night administered the oath of office to Jose Elice Navarro, who has become Minister of Interior.

Elice Navarro is a lawyer graduated from the National University of San Marcos. He is an expert on Constitutional and Parliamentary Law.

He also served as Senior Official at Congress and Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic.

Elice Navarro replaces former Minister Cluber Aliaga Lodtmann, who had taken office on Dec 2 but stepped down from the post today.

The ceremony was held at the Government Palace in Lima. — NNN-ANDINA
