KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) — Following the previous announcement on 4 December 2017 by BP Energy Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned power subsidiary of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd to undertake a development of 5.00 MWa.c. Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Plant in Kunak, Sabah, the Company received a Letter of Notification dated 16November 2020 from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) on revision of the Commercial Operation Date to 31st December 2022.
In a statement today, Bina Puri Group Executive Director, Datuk Matthew Tee Kai Woon said: “Moving forward, we are indeed very positive with the new development in the project implementation, despite having faced with various challenges in the early stage including the changes in local government and authorities. With this announcement, we are confident to secure more power projects into the portfolio. The project is on Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis, located at Kampung Dasar in Kunak, Sabah”.
