SANAA, Nov 29 (NNN-SABA) – Yemen’s health authorities, yesterday launched a polio vaccination campaign, for more than four million children, in the north of the country.
The three-day campaign is supported by the World Health Organisation (WHO), UNICEF and other international aid agencies, local health authorities said.
The door-to-door immunisation targets children under five years old.
The ongoing conflict in the country has triggered repeated outbreaks of deadly epidemics, such as cholera and polio.– NNN-SABA
