NEW DELHI, Nov 29 (NNN-PTI) – India’s COVID-19 tally reaches 9,392,919 today, as 41,810 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, the latest data from the health ministry showed.
According to the data, the death toll mounted to 136,696 with 496 new deaths since yesterday morning.
There are still 453,956 active cases in the country, while 8,802,267 people have been discharged so far after medical treatment, added the ministry’s latest data.
Over the past few days, the national capital, New Delhi witnessed a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases. In the past 24 hours, as many as 4,998 new cases and 89 deaths were recorded, while 6,512 people recovered, showed the data released by the local health department.
The Delhi government decided not to reopen schools till a vaccine is available to ensure the safety of students.– NNN-PTI
