Turkey Confirms Record High Of 30,103 New COVID-19 Cases

ANKARA, Nov 28 (NNN-ANADOLU) – Turkey recorded 30,103 new COVID-19 cases, the highest daily record in the country, Turkish Health Ministry said yesterday.

The total number of symptomatic COVID-19 patients in Turkey stood at 487,912. The death toll rose by 182 to 13,373, while total recoveries climbed to 396,227, in the last 24 hours, said the ministry.

The rate of pneumonia in COVID-19 patients is 3.4 percent and the number of seriously ill patients is 4,903. A total of 174,443 tests were conducted up to yesterday.

Turkey reintroduced several restrictions to curb the rapid rise in cases, including a partial curfew from 8.00 pm to 10.00 am local time, imposed nationwide on weekends. Schools will remain closed till the end of the year, with students switching to online education.– NNN-ANADOLU
