NEW DELHI, Nov 26 (NNN-PTI) – India’s COVID-19 tally reached 9,266,705 today, as 44,489 new cases were registered, according to the latest data from the country’s health ministry.
According to the data, the death toll mounted to 135,223, as 524 COVID patients have died since yesterday.
Delhi has seen a sudden spike in the number of new cases. Over 5,000 new cases were registered and 99 more people died here, the official data showed.
There are still 452,344 active cases in the country, while 8,679,138 people have been discharged from hospitals after medical treatment, according to the latest data.
Till yesterday, a total of 135,931,545 tests have been conducted, out of which 1,090,238 tests were conducted yesterday alone, according to the figures released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) today.– NNN-PTI
