DAMASCUS, Nov 25 (NNN-SANA) – Eight people were killed yesterday, by two explosions that rocked areas controlled by Turkey-backed rebels in northern Syria.
Three people were killed and 16 others wounded in an explosion by a car bomb, near a bakery in the city of Afrin, which is controlled by Turkish forces and Turkey-backed rebels, in the countryside of the northern province of Aleppo, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said.
Another explosion, also caused by a car bomb, rocked the rebel-held city of al-Bab in Aleppo, killing five and wounding 19 others, the Britain-based watchdog, added.
No party has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
Afrin had been controlled by the Kurdish militias before Turkey and Turkey-backed rebels captured it in 2018.
It is worth noting that the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkey-backed rebels have been pitted against each other in northern Syria.
Earlier in the day, the SDF ambushed the Turkey-backed rebels, in the northern province of Raqqa, killing 21 of them, according to the Observatory.– NNN-SANA
