BANGKOK, Nov 21 (NNN-TNA) – Five passengers died, after their pickup truck flipped over, on the road down Thailand’s mountain of Doi Inthanon, in the northern province of Chiang Mai yesterday.
The pickup truck lost control, while it was on a downhill drive, and missed a sharp curve, said Witthaya Chainan, chief of the Highways Department in Chiang Mai.
All of the passengers in the cabin, and those riding on the bed, were thrown out onto the road, and five of them died, Witthaya said, adding that, the injured were rushed to a hospital.
Witthaya said, the capsized van carried Bangkok registration plates.– NNN-TNA
